Kingtruss brings expert carpenters, impecable site leadership and the discipline delivered from frame to finish. We work with developers, housebuilders, contractors and private clients across East Anglia and the South East. Whether the job is a large commercial development or a private single extension, we bring the same attention to detail and dedication to high standards to the planningh, the site and the finish project.

Working on £17 million housing developments has shown us how carpentry decisions impact the wider project. Managing private projects has taught us to value what each client wants from their home. We bring both perspectives to every project

Our team origins

From military service to site management

Before founding Kingtruss in 2024, Alex Martin served in the Parachute Regiment with the UK Special Forces Support Group. Years later, he went on to set up Kingtruss Carpentry Contracting and manage multi-million-pound commercial developments in Norwich and private residential projects.

His military service shaped the way he approaches responsibility.

On site, those habits have a practical purpose. They help ensure the scope is understood, the work is planned around the programme, the team knows what’s expected, and problems are managed early.

Carpentry excellence is non-negotiable

For the last 18 years, Sam Didwell has worked with timber across projects that demand very different skillset. Restoring traditional frames without losing their character, shaping bespoke builds around a client’s vision, fitting out passive houses to demanding standards, and delivering carpentry on housing developments of hundreds of homes.

That breadth skill is what Sam brings to Kingtruss. From timber-frame restoration and structural carpentry to second-fix details, joinery and kitchens, Sam brings precision to every part of the job. He takes pride in work that looks right, fits properly and is delivered to the highest standards.
